Cadillac is a brand new and very talented three-piece. They show us that not only have they understood the influences from late60s and early 70s American and English music-scene, they have managed to bring it at least one step further.
Their two first EP’s showed that their heavy Hendrix inspired rock also was in demand with surprisingly high chartpositions. This was also due to their reputation as a totally no compromising live band.
Their debut album, Cure, was recorded in Athletic Studio by Kai Andersen and Trude Midtgaard who previously worked with Cadillacs fellow townsmen and undisputed rulers of the Norwegian rock scene for the last years, Motorpsycho. Now however, there might be a change of power.
And as for Norway’s new idols, Kings of Convenience, mainman Per Borten is clear; ”Quiet is the new loud? Over my dead body!”
